In the 21st of May 2008, at 3:00 PM, Farouq stood on top of Mt. Everest to rise the flag of Saudi Arabia on the world’s roof to be the first Saudi to reach the summit.
He also was the first Muslim to raise to Quran and Athan (the call for prayer) from the highest point on earth. Since then he has been an inspirational for a lot of people to overcome their obstacles and difficulties that face them on their way to achieve goals and dreams.
